Omg.. I feel so bad reading every post in this thread..I also think as upset as this breeder is.. she needs time to think and not be so hasty in wanting to let that female go..
Would it not work to put one baby with her.. rub the baby all over herself and then with a blanket of something the mom that lost her babies had.. to get the scent on the new baby... I think I would try this first.. but have not know anyone this happened to..
I do know I have babies that are 5 weeks old today.. and my new little boy ran through the baby gate and into the nursery.. momma went after him.. but since I was right there.. I was able to keep it under control and grab our little boy out of there..
And people even my hubby thinks I can be paranoid.. it is like she lost two babies out of 4.. I do not need anything more to happen to her..
