It looks like you have to have a primary account first. At the verizonwireless.com homepage there is a link to add a line, but it will make you sign in. Here are the options once you do:

Add A Line
Please select an option that applies.
I want to add a new Individual Plan
I want to upgrade to a Family SharePlan®
I want to keep my individual Plan and add a new Family SharePlan®
(requires a minimum of 2 lines)

Look at the standard plans to add a new Individual plan.

The Basic Family Share Plan starts at 700 minutes for $69.95 and goes up to Unlimited for $199.98.
