Just heard from Dena. It has been a really long day for she and Emma. She made it through the surgery and it was successful. They were able to repair the cleft and according to the doctors, she should be able to actually eat in a few days! I figure it will be really soft food but .... food! I'm not sure if they were able to do everything that will have to be done on the outside of her little face. She will be six months old on Monday and I cannot imagine her being that old and never having a bite of food in her little mouth! This is just a miracle! They let Dena stay in there for the entire procedure ... she said maybe that wasn't such a good idea. I would've fainted ... she certainly has more grit than I do!

At any rate, thank you all so much for your prayers, please keep them up. This little girl just has such a very special place in my heart. I am praying that they will have a peaceful, restful night! Again, thank you so very much for your prayers!
