I totally agree. The owner should have never just taken the momma's babies away and left her alone at home. Sadly I had this happen to me one time when I accidentally left two x-pens open while I was cleaning and just stepped out of the room for a few minutes. The pups were two weeks old and still in their whelping boxes. When I came back one of the moms had killed two puppies from the other mom. They do not kill them intentionally but when one mom tried to take the puppies away from the other mom then the pups get bit in the struggle. I learned a lesson the hard way.

Years ago a friend of mine had the same thing happen to her. Two poms got into a fight over one puppy and she said the puppy got ripped apart.
