I met my DH at a wedding in June 1976. That afternoon I told him he was the kind of guy I could marry. (You can imagine what he was thinking LOL!) A year later we went looking for a diamond. We found one, and a setting, and the ring had to be made.
At Easter, we were at my Grandmothers House for the Holiday. There was a plastic Egg that had a baby chick crocheted around it. We were sitting at the table and I was squeezing the egg in and out of the chicken. Something was rattling in it and He asked me if my grandmother ever put anything in the eggs. I said sometimes candy or jelly beans and popped it open. Out it fell! I said it's a ring ! It's my ring!!! We were engaged for a year and were married in '78. I can't believe we've celebrated our 30th anniversary!!! Of course I still have the ring, but I still have the little chick to! |
