My hubby thinks she needs a cut. He thinks she looks disheveled and messy. I do intend to keep her with a short, puppy coat, but I worry that she's too young. She goes tomorrow for her second set of shots and the vet has a groomer there so I could inquire about that service, but:
Is she too young for a cut?

You want them to have all their shots first. Usually 4-6 months is the ideal age. You don't want to wait too long, but they need to be current on vaccinations before being around the other dogs. Keep her bathed at home and get her in between 4 and 5 months.
