Well Annie B's name was Mandy so I thought something similar sounding would be good. Mandy...Annie....it worked. She soooo wasn't a Mandy.

Boo was an owner drop off at a local shelter and they didn't leave his name So the rescue that got him called him Alex. SOOOOOO not an Alex. DH came up with the name Boo, as we were driving home with him. My vote was for Wasabi, a hot Japanese spice. But that's mostly because I like saying the word. WASABI!! It just sounds good to my ears. But Boo really fits him and he perked right up when DH said it to him, so Boo it is.

My "long way around to the point" point is it really doesn't matter if it's a new name that sounds similar to their old or one that just really seems to fit them, pick a name and use it A LOT in the first several days. They'll figure it out.
