He is farely young (8 wks) so im wondering if crate traing is not a good idea? Maybe I should pee pad train for now and then try and crate train once he's older b/c I much rather him go outside? |
8 weeks is way to soon to expect much. I too thought it would happen quickly since I am at home but it didn't. I got Chloe when she was 7 wks. We started outside but it was Oct. and got too cold for her. She just sat on my feet and shivered. I do pee pads and they are the best thing for us now. Its only 7 degrees here today and who wants to go out in the middle of night. I was taking her every 2 hrs. We haven't had an accident for nearly 2 mos. now thankfully. It takes lots of time and patience. Don't feel discouraged it will happen but I learned on YT most puppys are around 4 mos. Hang in there Mom!
