I was reading somewhere that you can buy a dose of Advantage for XL dogs and use a 1 ml syringe to split up the dose for a smaller dog to save money. Has anyone heard of this or do this? Is this safe?

I like the way Advantage works, but I am finding it difficult to spend $50 a month on it for my 4 animals (2 cats, 2 dogs). Advantage seems to be the only thing that completely controls the fleas. Any ideas would be appreciated.
