For several days, about 2 weeks after we got Gracie Ruth, she would wake up DH barking ferociously while standing at the end of the bed. (I was already up and at work, so she never woke me up just DH ) The first time, he said, he bolted straight up out of bed looking for his gun because he was sure there was a serial killer coming thru the door to get them, her bark was so serious and so fierce. It always happened around the same time every morning, after a few days he realized what was going on. It was just getting light out and G was seeing her reflection in the full length mirror on the back of the bedroom door...located right across from the foot of the bed. She'd move, see "the intruder dog" move and bark to give warning and run to attack. Of course, "the intruder dog" would run towards her too so more barking was needed to give warning to Daddy to, "Get Up!! Intruder Alert!!" She is still our best alerter in the house.

She will also look at the 'me' in the mirror, then turn to look at me, then at the me in the mirror. You can smell the smoke from her brain trying to wrap around TWO Momma's in the room.
