Could you ask your daughter to help out some since you are taking on "her" dog?

What other interest do you have? Could you get a part time job working somewhere that you could really enjoy for some extra money. A book store, a fabric store, a coffee shop, dog walker, pet sitter, dog boutique, groomers, the vets? How about a Temp Agency working assignments as a receptionist? That way you sort of determine the times you work. My mom did temp work for many years after she retired and loved it. You don't get sucked into the whole office politics, you are only there a short time and then you move on to the next assignment. Or take a month or so off and travel, which is what my mom did. Look around, you may be surprised at what you can find.
