I do not let Dixie sleep with me. I've tried it a couple times and it just doesn't work. She's such a bed hog - HAS to be in the middle of the bed, she insists! And she snores! The last time I tried it she actually woke up in the middle of the night wanting to go to her crate. So, I know she's comfortable in there.
Dixie likes to go places with me, and when I'm home from work I take her with me as much as I can. So, when I do leave her she will bark...but only until I shut the door. I've stayed and listened at the door just to make sure
We just have to remember that they're dogs, we love them, but we're the boss. She's just fine in her room and she has everything she needs.
