I just want to vent about Mahina and her food.
She's allergic to chicken and turkey, so I feed her California Natural Lamb and Rice. She does great on this, she eats it and no rubbing her face, itching her chin, and no more biting of her paws!
Well, my boyfriend and I went out with some friends and I left her at his house. I fed her dinner before I left and she stayed in his room. Come back and guess what, his parents fed her. They clearly know she can't have chicken and she has allergies and the food the feed their dog is horrible! I've tried informing them, bringing samples of good food. Nope, they continue to feed Beneful (full of corn and grains), GRRRR. They've done this before and Mahina itched for a day or two, told them please don't feed her that food, and now this. My poor baby is going to be itchy!
It's a wonderful gesture that they're wanting to make sure she's fed and I appreciate it, but come on. How could I go about saying not to feed her without being rude?
Should I bring over a small bag of Mahina's food so if they want to feed her they could give her that instead. It really makes me upset because I'm trying so hard to keep her allergies under control.
I'm at loss, I don't want to be rude. What would you do?
