My first Yorkie, Chip, was always kept in a puppy cut for all of his 13 years. He had a wooly coat, compact muscular body with short little legs and weighed 14 lbs. He always looked so cute. Then when I got Piper I had the groomer give her the puppy cut and she was a 16 week old puppy. The cut did not look good on her. Piper is smalled bone and leggy with silky hair and weighs 5 lbs. She looked naked with the puppy cut. She just looks better in longer hair.
