I was not sure where I should post this. I have a 2 year old female yorkie, then last Friday I got a 10 week old male chihuahua. My yorkie has never had a problem being around other dogs. When I was married we had the yorkie and a Lab, it was the cutest thing. The lab would lay down and Sadie would climb on top of him and sleep. They got along so well, no fighting. Well, back to the chihuahua for the most part they ignore each other. Then there are times they really go at it. It's always started by the Chi he will bark at Sadie and lunge at him, then Sadie goes after him. I am really afraid that one of them is going to get hurt. Is this normal behavior, if not how long should I give them to see if it settles down?
