 What am I?
I am English.
This is 100% true..hard to believe, but true.
I was adopted at birth. No one knew anything about me. When I was 7 yrs old I was in Woolsworth and I saw a coloring book about England. It has all about the royal family, London, etc. I begged for it. I told my father I knew those people in England. Later, I went to live in GB and nothing was strange to me. My mother would get so upset when I told people my family was American , but I was English..she used to make me apologize for lying.
When I was 50 yrs old I did a search for my biological family..and they are all 100% English. I am from one of the orginial families (Parks) that immigrated and settled Tangier Island, VA. They still speak in an olde English dialect. It is like stepping back into the Victorian era.
Until now I have told very few people this story...a bit too weird for some. |
