They're 4". We loveee Strawberry Shortcake too! That was from leftover fleece where I made her sleeping bag. I just went through my leftover fleece from projects and used some of it. I still have enough to make another flower one but I want to get some solid red for it. I've made them before but I always used the balloon knots and it was so hard and discouraging. As soon as I tried it last night with the shoelace nights, they're soooo easy, it took me like a little over 30 minutes to make one.
Here is her Strawberry Shortcake sleeping bag I made a while back (it's sewn together though and the edges are just fringed) and then a blanket I made my boyfriend's step mom back summer of last year. He's 6'3" if that tells you anything.
