Yes, they do know a few minutes from a few hours/days. If I go out to the mail box or to the store, they act like they always do, now when I leave to go visit mom for a few days, they are so excited when I get home(although hubby has been with them) and they go around in circles, and talk to me(if that makes sense), there is no way(even if it's late) I can go to bed until I spend anywhere from 30-60 min with them. So, have to agree with your friend on that one
The 2 outside dogs know when it's 11:00 a.m and 5:00 pm. We let them run everyday at 11:00 and they eat at 5:00 and about 5 minutes until those times, they go to the gate and sit and start staring in the door. Dogs are not dumb like people seem to think they are. |
