A member on another forum I belong to just lost her Maltese to a coyote right before Christmas. Max would just pee on the nearest bush and they were leaving to go out for dinner so they made the mistake of letting him out off leash while they fumbled with the leash for the other Maltese. The coyote was right there by the house and snatched him up.
What a horrible, tragic accident. Please don't let your Yorkie off the leash. I'd also carry bear repellent with you as coyotes in California are taking little dogs while their owners are walking them on a leash. |
