This is a bit different, but we've flown with our boys several times - so they've been at that altitude for a few hours at a time. But, we've never taken them to the mountains. It's a good question. I think I'd check out "what to do for altitude sickness" for humans, and then see if you can use some of the same ideas for the doggies.
