Default Clarification - Kirby

It seems that there is some confusion regarding the placement homes acceptable for Kirby.

No home has been ruled out as of today. We have gotten many inquiries but only about 4 or 5 applications returned. If the best home for Kirby happens to be in Timbucktwo, that is where he will go. If there are two equally good homes and one is in Timbucktwo and the other one in California, he will stay in California. There have been people say that a transport could be arranged for Kirby to go to someone on the east coast but I don't think that would be good for Kirby. If he does go to someone that is not within a day's driving distance, someone will fly him to his new home. I don't think it would be good for him to be with one person for a couple of hundred miles and then transferred to another new person every couple of hundred miles. I have read of too many dogs that bolt when being transferred to another person for a leg of a trip or the dog has gotten away when taken out for a potty break. We are looking out for what is in Kirby's best interest and if it ends up to be a home on the east coast, we will do what we have to to raise the funds to have someone fly there or have the person fly here to get him. I hope that this clears up some of the misconceptions about what we are looking for in a forever home for Kirby. If anyone has any questions, please email me and ask. BTW, he is going in to have his baby canine teeth removed and a microchip implanted in about 30 minutes. He had been neutered at 3 months of age by his first foster family. Thank you for your support and concern for Kirby.
