I just googled it, and the only thing I found was that people CAN'T get colds from dogs. I would guess it works the other way around.

Eddie and I got a cold at the same time, but we were in the same cold, wet conditions camping out. Eddie's lasted about 3 days, and he snapped right out of it. Main symptom was sneezing.
