I had my Sophie spayed using a laser also, like the other poster no stitches external instead they used a glue. She healed very nicely and as my vet said "she is ready for Bikini season now".

I was so scared during the spay process and I questioned my poor trusted vet. Thankfully I listened to her advice and had the laser procedure done for a little additional cost.

Sophie sure is a popular name for dog's, in my neighborhood we have 2 Sophie's - Big Sophie the Lab and Little Sophie the Yorkie.
