If his mother has a big heart to share with a little one and has the patience and energy to train and keep up with your cute little wild Bella, that'd be a great match. But if she doesn't have the experience or the patience to dedicate to a spunky little girl, Pattycake sounds like a better match for her.
You might want to inquire about his mother's living situation since if she can't curb Bella's "yappiness", in an apartment environment, it may not bode well for Bella's future.
I don't know where I got the impression that she's an elderly woman, but Pattycake might perhaps be the perfect angel to help his mom out of grief and/or depression no matter her age and energy level? I suppose you'll have to see how they interact first when they do finally get to meet.
Both Bella and Pattycake sound like such sweethearts. I wish you caught Bella on camera with her stealing food from her mom's mouth!
