When you take your baby to the vet be sure to not put her on the ground outside the vets or on the floor in the vet's office. How old is your baby? Has she had all her shots? I advise against the lepto shot. Never let a vet give a rabies shot at the same time other vaccinations are given. I advise waiting as long as possible before giving them the rabies shot.

Ask the vet to check her knees and check for a hernia. In general, most vets do these things anyway and they just evaluate the overall health of the puppy. If possible take a fresh stool sample with you so the vet can check for parasites.

Try not to be nervous because the puppy might sense that and feel scared and nervous too. I do hope all goes well. Be sure to give us an update when you get back.

Oh, and I forgot to add:
Welcome to Yorkie Talk. We will be looking forward to getting to know you and Olivia better.
