I've worn glasses since the 1st grade and then got contacts as a 6th grader. I mainly just wear my glasses nowadays though because I have problems with my eyes being really dry.

I have never lost my glasses either. When you become dependent on them to be able to see clearly, even just to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, you'll remember where you put them!

Eye appointments are no big deal and definitely nothing painful involved! You'll probably have to read some charts, and he'll probably shine really bright lights in your eyes so he can check them out. Sometimes, they'll have me look into this machine thing and focus on a picture that is really far away- then the machine blows a little poof of air into your eye. I really don't know what that does but it doesn't hurt but it might make you jump a little!
