You are right, you do want to get them fixed before they start marking, neutering after they start marking, doesn't always stop it. We planned the neutering surgery around 7 months, and did a vet check a month before surgery to see if teeth would be ready to be removed at the same time. The vet wants to wait until he's sure there will be some permanent teeth before he pulls all baby teeth I guess. Most Yorkies do need some permanent teeth removed, and not all vets know this, unless they specialize in small breeds, so it wise for you to bring it up.
