 Two Males
I just had to put my female poodle to sleep in December due to heart disease at the age of 14-1/2. My male 12 year old yorkie, Rocky, is now alone. I was just advised by a yorkie rescue group last night that two males is the best combination, although she said some of them prefer to be the only dog. I was surprised as I was considering getting a female the same size, but I was told that the females are the bossier of the two sexes. Right now I am debating about what to do but it changed my thinking. I don't believe I will be able to get a rescue due to my working hours.
