Perhaps you have it all wrong and it wasn't Thor's lack of intelligence but rather his over intelligence as he wanted to make sure he was only putting forth efforts for someone who was worthy of his knowledge and wisdom! OK, maybe not but I had to try to give him the benefit of the doubt!!!
