I had my Kalani neutered at 4 1/2 months of age because his sister couldn't be spayed due to a heart murmur. I wish I had waited another month or two, only because it was a bear trying to get rid of his retained puppy teeth. At 15 months he still had one left - I flossed around it and wiggled it and gave him lots to chew on and just when I was about to give up and let him have surgery it fell out
