My Trixie is 4mo. and she got 2 shots on Friday, a rabies and a distemper. She wimpered when I tried to pick her up. But other than that she is fine. I know it's hard when they are hurting and you feel helpless. Trixie is fine now when I pick her up so it should only last about 2 days.
