You should be boarding the female while the breed.
Ties should always be assisted. If the females pulls away, damage can occur.
When the pups are born, if they can't be placed, you will need to take them if the owner of the female can't or they will go to a shelter.
Do you have a contract with the females owner?
Are they both standard and have they been checked by someone who could tell you like a judge or an experienced breeder?
Does the owner of the female have money set aside for a c-section and do they understand that they could lose their girl?
These are some things I'd consider before breeding.

Good post! Breeding should never be rushed into. To many things to consider and once your dog is a stud, he will not be the cute little pet anymore. He will become a marking machine. Also, does the owner of the bitch know all the risks involved? Lots of things to think about.
