Well, first have they both had blood panels, bile acid testing, knees checked and even better would be to add on testing for eyes, ears, hips and thyroid?

You should be boarding the female while the breed.
Ties should always be assisted. If the females pulls away, damage can occur.

When the pups are born, if they can't be placed, you will need to take them if the owner of the female can't or they will go to a shelter.

Do you have a contract with the females owner?

Are they both standard and have they been checked by someone who could tell you like a judge or an experienced breeder?

Does the owner of the female have money set aside for a c-section and do they understand that they could lose their girl?

These are some things I'd consider before breeding.

If the female's heat just started, it isn't time to breed yet.
