Any type of Merrick is all life stages so even if your puppy eats from your retreiver, he will be fine
I love the company and what they put in their food. And all Merrick has small bites which is perfect for our little Yorkies.

I had to cut Wellness out as well when I tried it, the bites were too big for Snickers and he put his nose up at it.
