I had a dog do this to me. She had gotten into trash I left out and a week later still wasnt eating. I found a 2 inch chicken bone lodged in the back joint of her jaw between the upper and lower. I got the bone out and she ate like you wouldnt believe. She sustained herself with water and bits of food but I was young and poor, could barely pay rent and feed her so a trip to the vet was out of the question. I would take my finger and run it around his teeth, inside and out to see if something is wrong.
