I actually ate catfish last night from Spahr's Restaurant. Their original restaurant in Des Allemands burned about 2 or 3 years ago so they've opened a few restaurants in the towns closer to us -- Raceland and Thibodaux.

Its not as good as Middendorf's but is still good.

They were known for their Bloody Marys. People on their way to New Orleans going up Hwy 90 would stop to get a BM to go. I think everyone around here has a Spahr's cup in their cabinet at home.
