[QUOTE=Wylie's Mom;2412932]You are an INCREDIBLE Mother - you SAVED HER LIFE, my dear! You truly did. You gave her breath again and did everything correct in a crisis. Please
do not beat yourself up.
It sounds like it was a combo of a couple different things, neither of which were anyone's fault. These babies are very strong and can heal very quickly - so try to stay positive and know that we're pulling for your baby.
Thank you so much!!
I was panicking and believe it or not the first thing I thought to do was call 911, because to me Gia is a person, my baby. I was very frantic for a minute. My husband was even worse. Then I said to myself . . this is not going to save Gia. Pull it together Heather, and think. Thats when I realized I need to be checking her pulse & breathing. I observed Gia was not breathing. As soon as I started the mouth to mouth she gasped for air. I waited a second to see even she could breath and she did faintly. I gave her another breath, that time a little more. She picked up from there. Her chest rattled a bit when she started breathing on her own. It was like something was in there.
In the car she started to move and I thought she was coming out of it and was going to be better. Then when we had about 10 more minutes to get there she got really weak and her breathing was very faint. I monitored her pulse the whole way and this slowed down too. Through out this when I would move her to keep her conscious she would let out little whimpers.
