I use agave nector for baking sometimes. I think it's really low on the glycemic index but still has carlories similart to sugar. I don't know that Truvia is better than stevia but I like it better than the Sweet Leaf brand.

I also grow stevia and sometimes use it when I brew tea for iced tea. I stick a bunch in with some mint or lemon verbena or whatever with the tea bags to steep. It sweetens the tea really well but it has a sort of green taste to it. I don't get that with Sweet Leaf or Stevia.
