I think he might still have some of the stud habits, but i don't think they will be as strong, or that he'll have the super strong drive that he MUST breed. The testosterone will be gone so he shouldn't feel the strong need to breed. Interesting article for sure and something to think about I guess. BUT, I wouldn't want my male to have to go through the mental issues your having, everytime the female goes into heat. If you just breed once a yr mabey you can deal with it. You could print out the article and bring it into your vet to see what they say. If it were me, I would neuter him. I am going to neuter my old stud very soon, and am not worried about it( except for the normal worry of surgery).
