We had babies twice. The first time our female went into labor I just knew it
. She was breathing heavy and panting. We made her a basket with warm flannel sheets to line the basket, but when the bubble statred comming out of her I freaked out. We rushed her to the vet where they just put her in a cage by herself and she had the pup when they brought her out to us. So the second time we had pups I just hung tough and kept her home in the same basket, and she whelped in the basket. (whelped means gave birth) I had to help her a little, but not much.. The baby(s) come out in individual sacs. The mama will lick and bite the sac off and clean baby up real good!
My groomer purposly mated her Yorkie with a chihuaua and the call them chorkies, they are really cute. Good luck
