I comb them out first, then I use clippers with longer sized attachments just to trim them up. They stay in "puppy cuts" most of the time. If you click on my profile, you'll see their album and my limited grooming skills. Nevertheless, they look cute

I trim their ears very carefully with the clippers and pull the hair out of the ear canal with my fingers. I also take just the tips of their nails and then file the rough spots with a rigid nail file.

I trim the hair around their faces usually with small scissors but my dogs will sit VERY STILL for this. You have to be careful of their eyes.

That's pretty much it - they get their baths - shampoo and conditioner and then I clean their ears with a product called Biogroom and q tips and then i dry them.
