Well I am glad I am not the only one who didn't know about it. I looked in Chloe's ears and pulled her ear back like on the video , took hold of the hair.....and chickened out

When I take her to the vet next week I will ask her about it , and let their groomer do it if needed. Atleast for the first time.

Thanks for the responses the video was very helpful , The dog in the video didn't seem to be uncomfortable at all , that made me feel better about it.
