We don't have a Petland in our area at all. I have heard that a lot of people are just leaving their pets because they are loosing their homes and can't afford to care for them or their new places won't accept animals....perhaps they will drop them off there instead? The kill shelters around us charge to drop off animals so they are just leaving them to fend for themselves. How horrible and sad to be able to do that to your pet.
