I used to breed Min. Schnauzers years ago. I had 2 studs from very good lines. It was also a chore to keep them separated. I did end up neutering my oldest male. It did settle him down BUT, he still did have urges when my girls came in heat. It's not just about procreation to them but it is also about the alpha male.
