I posted this on your other thread, but thought it might be helpful here too

So glad you adopted him and are giving him a chance at a healthy and happy home.

I am sure you already know, but in case not (and in case this is helpful to others) that he still needs to be on a restricted diet and supplements. Even though he had surgery to repair his shunt, it doesn't mean he is free and clear. He could shoot another shunt at some point in his life time, so that's why it is important to keep him on a special diet and supplements and have his bile acids tested often to keep an eye on his liver function. Not sure if you are familiar with the Yahoo Group for Liver Disease or not, but it is a great support group with lots of helpful information and lots of Liver Shunt Survivors. Here's the link: DogLiverDisease : Dog Liver Disease

Best Wishes and Congrats on your new Baby - Thanks for Choosing to Rescue GREAT JOB MOMMY

P.S. Yorkieluv is the BEST at helping and answering questions in regard to Liver Shunt Babies I am sure she would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have

P.S.S. What food are you feeding him right now ??? Do you know what his last BAT was???
