My register male(Tom Pouce) is now over a year old and just mate with one of my female.
So I am going to do the right thing and retired my other male because he isn't register(no paper) .
It was my first experience with 2 stud competing for a female. I knew I would have to keep the two males separated and also keep the female apart to controlled the breedings and possible fight. That is ok.
But Teddy took it really bad, crying none stop, refusing food, lost weigh too.
He usually not that bad when my females are on heat even when he don't get to mate with them? Maybe having competition around make him more nervous or something? It was hart breaking to see him like that for 2 weeks...
He spend a few days at my friend's house but he start marking

so i when to pick him up,

all embarrassed after 2 days...
Ok so here is my question:
Is Teddy will be better after he get neuter.Or will he always be so miserable when my female get into heat and keep all his stud behavior?
I really love my Teddy boy... I would like to keep him as a pet only dog... but I want to best for him too.
What are your experiences with retired stud?
