I would think that if this had been an ER Vet they would have kept Carter overnight to observe him. I'm not sure why the vet they saw would have sent them home - most likely so Carter would have around the clock attn. Do you know if the vet thought there could be internal bleeding? I just think a second opinion would not hurt, because if the vet they saw wasn't going to do x-rays tonight, he probably isn't going to do them tomorrow either
