My aunt was giving her 4 mo. old Yorkie baby Benadryl over Xmas (she was having terrible allergies...) and hers acted in the exact same manner as the OP's. She tried syringing it in a tiny bowl, and Emma just licked it all out no problem!!! She loves food, though, so I think she'd take about anything she was offered! Putting it in bread or mashed potatoes sounds like a good idea too, but if yours will lick it up, then....waah laaaaah, problem solved with no muss! Good luck!
