I did not know these things either. I just always let Maximus lead on the leash, with respect to the direction I am going. Hmmm. Good to know.

Our vet recommends holding them and looking in their eyes until they turn their head away, and to do it with everyone in the family. He still tries to squirm out of my arms. The lil' booger.

What is the "release" command? Is it a voice command or a hand gesture?
