HELLO EVERYONE! I am very excited about finding this forum.
We got Bentley in August '08 when he was 2 months old. I have always thought this breed was just so adorable and heard stories about their personalities but I really didn't have any idea until we brought our ragtop home.
It has been four months now and he is always able to instantly cheer me up the minute I look at him. My husband says I can not stop smiling!

It is EXACTLY like when you bring your newborn home from the hospital and you can not stop looking at them; waking up at night and peeking at them to make sure they are still breathing (ok, and NOT like a newborn...taking them outside so they do not piddle on your toes AGAIN!

). I can not believe I have fallen completely and crazy in love

with him. He has so willingly (and knowingly) taken over my entire life. I don't know how I ever got along without him at my side at all times.
Anyway, I wanted to just quickly say
hello and to
thank you all so much for your help already. Since getting Bentley (and a clean bill of health from our vet) he has occasionally had a "cough". Usually just once or two times and then we would move about our day making sure his every whim was met. Well yesterday he went into a coughing fit and I was so very scared. I was scurring through internet pages trying to find help for my baby when I came across your site. You all have helped us so much already. I found the discussion topic on reversed cough vs. collasped trachea. We (yes, I drug my husband to the computer to watch it with me... afterall, this was a matter of Bentley's health and YES, the world should stop until the issue was resolved!)
we are still not 100% sure which one he has. We believe it is reversed cough but are watching him like a hawk to compare symptoms again, if God forbid, he has another episode, now that we have information on it.
OK, I am sorry for rambling. As you have probably figured out I can talk about him for hours and hours and never get bored

I just really wanted to say
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for being there for us and I look forward to getting to know y'all better and picking your brains... not to mention hearing funny stories about your babies.
Peggy (a.k.a. Bentley's Momma)
